At CFMC Preschool, everything that happens during the school day is considered a part of our curriculum. Age-appropriate, written curriculums are used as guides for teachers of the various age levels. Learning opportunities are presented in a hands-on, child-centered, developmentally appropriate sequence through the use of small and large group activities, learning centers, outdoor play, and special events.

We offer weekly Motor Skills classes for all ages. The focus of this class is to help children develop their large motor skills in an age-appropriate setting. We have also consulted with an occupational therapist for ideas for activities that will help the children develop their core strength.

We use a Bible curriculum where all ages study the same monthly Bible story, lesson, and verse. Of course, each age level will approach the story in ways that are appropriate for their age level. This allows families with more than one child in the Preschool to discuss the monthly story, concept, and verse at home as a family.

All Ages

Certain special events and class parties are scheduled for the various age groups during the school year. Check out the Age Level Curriculum Charts and the Preschool Calendar to see what special events we offer for each age level.

1 Year Olds

Children enrolled in our 1-year-old classes will spend the morning playing and interacting with other children while you enjoy your morning out. Our staff seeks to incorporate “play” with music, movement, and manipulative toys along with developmentally appropriate art activities. These children have outdoor play each day and music and motor skills weekly. Children may participate in our 1-year-old classes two days a week on either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.
