Director of Preschool Ministry: Melissa Deegan

Melissa Deegan graduated from Harding University, in Searcy, AR with a BA in Child Development. She brings over 30 years of teaching and directing experience with her. She absolutely loves what she does and is very excited to serve here at Canton First UMC Preschool! She has been married for 25 years to her husband Jeff. They have 4 children and are expecting their first grandchild this year. Some of her hobbies are reading, camping, fishing and all things nature and outside! She looks forward to getting to know you all serving you and your little ones this year.

Associate Director of Preschool Operations: Stephanie Jones

Stephanie has been at Canton First UMC Preschool since 2008. She has been married for 26 years and has 3 children, ages 16-23, all of whom attended CFUMC Preschool. Stephanie enjoys exercising and staying healthy and loves being a wife and mom, two of the greatest “jobs” ever.  The preschool and its staff have made such a positive impact on her and her family over the years. What a blessing to have a preschool staff that love Jesus, support each other through prayer and devotion each morning, and have the opportunity to minister to children and their families.

Office Helper: Karen Dodd

Karen has worked at the school for many years. She is known for the way she shows love to all the children at the Preschool and she enjoys helping out in any way that she can, whether in the office or in a classroom.
