The holidays can be difficult when we are grieving, for grief comes in many forms. For most, a loved one who is no longer here creates a continuing sense of loss. For those who have lost a child through miscarriage or in an untimely way, it is a sad hole never filled. The loss of a job, the young adult child who moves away, a move into a new community or situation, abilities lost through disease or aging all create a melancholy that life will never be the same.
If you carry lingering grief in your heart, please join us for the Longest Night Service on Friday, December 21 at 7:00 PM in the Chapel. You will have an opportunity to name your grief and give thanks to God who consoles our sorrows.
