CARE MINISTRY

The Care Ministry comprises many ongoing ministry areas that are staffed by caring volunteers. This ministry includes all areas of congregational care, including the following:

  • Prayer ministry
  • Homebound visitation and communion to shut-ins 
  • Hospital, home, and assisted living visits 
  • Care Mail card ministry for homebound 
  • GriefShare groups, seminars and booklets 
  • Flower ministry to Canton Nursing Center
  • Bereavement food 
  • Caregiver Support Groups and periodic seminars
  • Stephen Ministry 
  • Craft ministries such as Hands for God, Prayer Quilt Ministry, and Easter Baskets
  • Transportation for Sunday service from The Lodge at BridgeMill and The Arbor at BridgeMill 
  • DVD Ministry for those unable to worship with us online or in-person

If you are interested in volunteering for any of these care areas or have a suggestion for a ministry not listed, please call Susan Brown, Minister of Congregational Care at 770-721-5225 or complete the form below, and you will receive a prompt response. We currently need volunteers in these areas:

  • GriefShare assistant facilitators (training provided)
  • People to help deliver flowers to nursing homes
  • People to help make or deliver Easter Baskets
  • Caregivers and care receivers for Stephen Ministry (training provided)
  • Knitters or crocheters for Hands for God
