Canton First United Methodist Church is a congregation of committed Christians dedicated to enabling persons to discover and grow in a personal saving relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. In the tradition of Wesleyan theology we hold fast to the conviction that all persons must be saved, that all persons can be saved, and that all persons can be saved to the uttermost. To that end we understand our mission to be Ambassadors of Christ striving to reconcile the world to God one life at a time.
It is my personal hope that you will take a few minutes to browse through our website and become acquainted with our church family and the ministries we provide for you and your family. If at any time you have questions that you do not find on our website, or you would simply prefer to talk with one of our ministers, please feel free to give us a call.
This website has been designed with three purposes in mind. First to be a convenient tool for communicating with our church family members. Second to be a convenient avenue for persons in our community to learn about us and begin to feel that they are welcome in our worship and wanted in our fellowship. Finally it is our desire to reach out to the world at large with the Good News of God’s wonderful life transforming salvation in Jesus Christ. To that end we encourage all who will to use the tool of "God’s Gift" to share the Gospel wherever the opportunity affords.
