POWER OF ONE WORSHIP
Sound familiar? “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common.” Acts 2:42-44.
Introducing ONE, a worship experience and discipleship model based on the biblical model of Acts 2.
POWER OF ONE Fellowship Dinner begins on Wednesday night, September 30th as we break bread together in the Fellowship Hall (Dinner is served from 5:15-6:30).
POWER OF ONE Worship begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary (children age 5+, Crosstrainers, adults and seniors).
POWER OF ONE Discipleship will follow worship at 7:00 p.m. as children and Crosstrainers unpack the message in their age level classes downstairs. Adults and seniors continue with the message and teaching in small groups in the Sanctuary.
WHAT DOES THE
POWER OF ONE MEAN?
Worshiping together counters the contemporary fragmentation of families. Hectic American life leaves little time for significant togetherness. The average family spends 48 minutes a day in real conversation.
Catch the Spirit
Children and youth grow as disciples by the example of their parents with heads bowed in prayer, singing songs of praise, and watching how they listen hungrily to God’s Word. They should catch the spirit of their parents and grandparents meeting the living God.
Children and youth absorb a tremendous amount that is of value. Music and words become familiar. The message of the music starts to sink in. The form of the service comes to feel natural. The content of the prayers and songs and sermon gives parents unparalleled opportunities to teach their children and youth the great truths of our faith.
A Sense of Awe
A deep moving of the magnificence of God can come to all generations during worship, prayer, silence, preaching, teaching and the oneness of the Body of Believers coming together.
