Door to Door Food Distribution, May 4, 2019
Looking for a mission opportunity where you can serve your local neighbors and that can be done in a few hours? Join members of our church family on Saturday, May 4th, as we deliver boxes of food provided by Action Ministries to needy families in Canton. This is an excellent outreach opportunity for families with children. Teenagers (or anyone) with muscles are also needed to help carry the boxes. We will meet at the church at 9:30 AM, take the church van, and return by noon. Please contact Sandi Anderson at if you would like to participate in this mission opportunity.
Murphy-Harpst Garden Project, May 11, 2019
The Missions Ministry is planning an opportunity for you to work with the youth at Murphy-Harpst to help with new garden project. Murphy-Harpst has recently added a greenhouse and raised beds to their campus, and they are setting up project work days for groups to come and help. This is a family-friendly event so children are welcome to participate under the supervision of their parents.
DATE & TIME: We are looking at May 11, weather permitting, as our first project work day. We plan to leave the church at 8:00 AM to drive to the Murphy-Harpst campus in Cedartown and should return by 3:00 PM.
DONATIONS: We are also looking for donations of seeds and perennial plants for the project. If you have unused seeds or extra plants from dividing your perennial beds, please consider donating them to this project. Please label seeds and plants and include planting/growing instructions.
